I actually hate putting gel or any other products into my hair. It just seems wrong or annoying. I'm an obsessively clean person. I'm always afraid people look at me and think I'm one of those people who just cares about Star Trek or looks at his computer screen all day and never goes outside. Also when it's shorter it stands up on top which looks dumb. I hate having longer hair as it tickles my skin.
Nooooo I think that the short cuts look cool as hell on Asian guys with straight, heavy hair....it looks so razor sharp and perfectly spikey...
I have big azz afro hair btw....i would love to trade hair with someone to see what it's like haha, i'd probably go around all day flipping my hair like in the shampoo commercials
Consider yourself lucky that you have hair and are not a white male with extremely high testosterone and therefore bald.
High testosterone itself is not the cause of male pattern baldness. If that were the case than black males would have even higher rates of balding. The issue lies in how your body's hormones interact with androgen receptors.

I've never known E Asian men to have a problem with their hair. Coarse hair is good, it's thicker than most Caucasian hair. Let yours grow out a bit (get used to wearing it longer, it looks great!), and find a good barber who works with Asian clients. That's the key.
Do people actually still have the idea that one race's hair type is better than another? That's just foolishness. All hair types are beautiful and have their own unique qualities.

You just can't wake up in the morning and style the hair to your liking... then out the door and on to work... without some hair gel or mousse for sure. That is the inconvenience. I envy people who can do that.
ruth4truth: i mixed it up with asia minor for some reason. east asia is actually asia as in chinese and people with slanted eyes (not being politically correct)
