Wondering if anyone else here buys clothing in just 2 different colors that go together (ie., black & white) with maybe an occasional accent color piece so everything goes together? In the 1980s they called this the "capsule concept".

Way too limiting. I like color! And variety.

I try to stick to three.

When I lost a lot of weight a couple of years ago, I was rather disgusted about the amount of clothes I got rid of. Most of the clothes I never wore. At that point I wanted to change the way I wore and bought clothing.

I embrace the capsule wardrobe. Black and cream with denim. Works brilliantly for me. I accent with red.

When I was working, I found it much easier to have combinations of navy and white. Everything went with everything and caring for a full time job, a home, and two hockey playing sons, I didn't have a lot of time to coordinate clothes.

It worked quite well and while that was my work wardrobe, I added other colors for my off hours. And the theaters provided costumes so I didn't have any concerns with stage wear.

Funny thing is, while I do have a variety of choice in retirement, I still do have a lot of navy and white, just not exclusive. I didn't know that what I did had a name.

Nope....I like some variety! Now, I admit that blue jeans aren't varied, but tops/shoes, etc....can be! I like summer better than winter, since I can do many colored shorts/skirts/dresses.....in the winter, I need long pants, which are likely denim, or yoga pants, or dress pants.....(usually black...so boring).

LOL, you're missing your main audience because they likely will not use the internet - the Amish!
Although, the Mennonites may be lurking.

Most of my pants are black. I wear a variety of tops, but almost always with black pants. I must have 5 or 6 pair of black pants.
