I can't remember what they're called but they're for the wintertime and you can slip them under your shoes in icy conditions so that you don't slip. They're a great alternative to buying new boots and they're only about $20. Can't seem to find them now though.

We always called them (ice) grips or (ice) cleats.

I always see them on clearance at Target after the holidays, usually in the boxed gifts near the men's clothes. We don't get much ice here, which is probably why they end up on clearance.

Yes, finally no more tying tennis rackets under my shoes.... :P

Joking aside, this is cool. I hate wearing boots to work. Because i have to take them off and change to my regular shoes once I am in the office. Maybe I will get this and forget about the boots.
