I have this problem too. There's a product called pore minimizer..Clinique sells it and I think others do to. It is a very velvety feeling cream that fills in pores and imperfections and goes on either by itself or under makeup.

Just keep your skin clean, do a mask once a week and a gentle exfoliant twice a week. Pores look larger the oilier your skin is by filling up with dirt and excess oil. Really like those blackhead strip that you moisten and put on your nose or t-zone. Gross but really cleans out the blackheads.

Try Velvet Skin Coat by a company called DHC. They're on the web. It's the greatest stuff!

I would also recommend a make-up primer that is applied after your moisturizer which should be oi-free and under your make-up. It will minimize lines and pores and keep your make-up looking fresher. You might want to try the Mineral Make-up since it is a powder and helps absord excess oils. If not, wear loose powder after you apply your foundation to set your make-up and make your pores appear smaller. That's the best you can do besides what I recommended earlier.

Alpha hydrox brand AHA 12%; regular use of sunscreen, preferrably one that contains mexoryl. At home microdermabrasion product once a week. Birth control pills if you have acne and increased oil production.

I've always been told that there is no way to shrink your pores. None of the products actually work. Just what I heard!

Hi,
Joey of New York, Pure Pores Line. You can order it from QVC and I am sure other sites as well. It not only shrinks pore size, but is a blackhead and oil remover. Good stuff.

I use the Dr. Brandt poreless toner and poreless gel and like them (hated that line's cleanser though! )

I also bought Dr. Denese's firming pads (can't remember the exact name!) and I use them every night after cleansing and toning. They sting a bit when you use them at first, but that decreases as time goes on (it took about a week for me for that to subside).

A primer for skin before putting on makeup is a good idea too - that helps a lot to keep the foundation nice and smooth on my skin.

Hope this helps!
Cathy

Be careful about not over scrubbing or using something harsh and drying on the skin as this will often over stimulate oil production and have the reverse effect of what you are trying to achieve. No over the counter product will permanently shrink your pores but you may want to consult a cosmetic dermatologist as to options. IPL (intense pulsed light) therapy will stimulate collagen product and reduce the look of enlarged pores. Skin resurfacing may be an option for you as well.
