Let's face it, she is not a great songstress but she is a beauty, and in particular possesses a great 'upper register.' Yet she showed almost no cleavage in her Super Bowl half time performance. Is this continuing fallout from the Janet Jackson incident of a few years ago? Have we become a nation of prudes?

She actually is very plain looking without makeup.

She is quite charismatic and a great performer though.

I thought she did a good show for the family friendly event it was. I too was surprised not to see her cleavage since that seems to be her thing but America needs less sexing up of everything. Even the ads were tame this year.

Perry is a fun poppy songstress. I thought Lenny Kravitz was wasted in his 30 second spot. He should have done more. Missy Eliot was a totally unnecesary and brought the show down.

+1. I cannot believe this thread. But I clicked by mistake because I stupidly assumed a thread entitled "Katy Perry's Super Bowl halftime show" would discuss the music/entertainment value of the show, and not Katy's talents (or lack thereof) as a stripper

It is a family show.

If she would have shown more cleavage, all the prude parents out there would have had yet another reason to complain against inappropriate nudity.

She is a good performer. Her face and voice are a little boring IMO.

The whole dancing sharks and beach balls was like an LSD acid trip and a nod to drug humor.
But to squares it's just like, oh cute dancing palm trees. I think this was kind of a clever stunt pulled off by whomever the show designer was.
