All colors are great as long as the person has a decent sense of style and what looks good on them.
For instance baby blue (as in like a polo shirt not a suit LOL) looks great on someone with dark hair and blue eyes like my hubby.
Totally depends on the guy. My ex is of Italian descent and looked great in colors that would look horrible on a lot of guys, most pastels, olive green, mustard, reds and burgundies.
To me that question depends on what color the man is.
I have noticed white people, so in this case white men, look really bad in khaki usually but so many wear it. it looks terrible except on a man with brown, tanned, tawny or black skin. Also men with brown, tanned, tawny or black skin look so good in purple, apricot and some shades of blue. White men look just terrible if they have light hair and reddish skin in wearing neutral colors. They blend into their clothes as shadeless, bland, and conservative in an ugly way.
There are exceptions, a white man with white skin that has dark brown hair and non ruddy skin can look ok even good sometimes in khaki.
A good looking young or even older man who is trim of any color looks good in a white T-shirt and jeans as long as he does not have the above mentioned light hair and reddish skin.
Another thing men with dark hair have to watch out for my Mom always said my friend looked dirty because he had a rough face(which in general mom was attracted to) but this friend of mine wore black dress shirts and she said it was not a good combo. I have to agree on some level. For some men the shirt matching their hair can be too much the same thing, they need a contrast.
