I'm guessing we can draw a temperature correlation (in C) with this. Those in the lighter end most likely prefer temps in single digit C, while the darker end prefers it in the 30's C.
I'm about a 9. Super-pale northern European, even have the red hair to go with. I'm also fanatical about sunblock and limiting my sun exposure when necessary, simply because I burn so easily. For a long time I endured the "OMG you're so PAAALE!" comments and wished I could tan, but now I just rock what I have.

I like mountains & beaches. Sadly, I'm stuck in the southeastern plains with high humidity and no sea breeze.
They all look the same to me. I am a light skin, white with a slight hint of brown rather than reddish.
Would it be 14, I don't really know. Strange chart.
