Some of the viewpoints on this thread are downright disgusting, and yet people still wonder why women are afraid of walking alone at night. Wouldn't you when every Tom, Dick and Harry thinks that because he saw a pretty lady with her legs spread in a magazine then every woman must be up for grabs? After all, she's in a skirt, right? Of course she's asking for it.
ive yet to see one of them skirts , tho ill keep an eye out

But she possibly likes flaunting her body and earns a good chunk of money for it. Nobody forced her to do the job, did they ? She can always choose to opt out.

Hot chic on a beer or car ad isn't objectification. They willfully accepted to taking part. Blame the marketing guys for lewd ads if you want.

And you once mentioned there were certain kinds of men you would "never kick out of bed". Um, that's objectification at its finest. Portraying good looking men as sex toys and nothing more.

People will let themselves be dehumanized for money. Nothing new there.

Sadly, this thread seems to have turned towards the absurd. Oh well, it was pretty decent for awhile.

A lot of people however were claiming it was onbjectifying women, giving men unreleastic expectation of women, etc. I saw things differently, to me it was a celebration of feminine beauty/power.

So as a women I encourage my other fellow women to start looking at these things differently. Don't view these adds as an insult to your appearance but rather a celebration of female beauty. I know that advertisement companies have a tendecy to only represent one type of female beauty, and that should change. To me black, asian, european, and hispanic women are ALL equally beautiful. You almost never hear men getting upset over David Beckham underwear adds, or claiming Abrecrombie&Fitch dehumanizes men. Its not that men are naturally less insecure then women, we women just take this stuff way too personally.

If god hated the human body who wouldn't have made us naked .
These women are neither respected nor celebrated for anything besides how pleasing they are to a male's eyes.

Men are celebrated for their achievements, breaking records, contributing to humanity, putting an effin' ball into a netted ring...

The ads perpetuate the concept that women exist solely to please men and those that do are the only worthwhile ones.

That is full on artarded. Never go full artard.

I don't think you know any women.
I know lots of seriously hot women of different ages, political backgrounds, religions, etc.

ALL of them find it offensive.

Sick.

Your parents failed to teach you compassion, respect, or even that women are human beings.

...correct me if I am wrong but you say that these sort commercials are what is driving women to push themselves into plastic surgery in some cases, or anorexia. Besides anorexia or plastic surgery what is wrong with wanting to be youthful? Whats wrong with wanting to improve?

Enjoy the beauty a woman possesses, don't try to bring all woman down to a different level because a few of them feel differently. I honestly don't think that a smart attractive woman would see anything wrong.
Did you even read my post, explaining / answering that? Not wanting to repeat from before, but examples are the Carl's jr's ads that have existed years (apparently not shown in some areas), can view them on YouTube. They are just blatantly sexualized (for men)..TV porn.. (isn't there enough porn?) and to sell Burgers? Yeah, we can mute, leave the room, but the thing is, they exist, while sitting, watching a show. Boys see these images, who are indoctrinated soon enough, little girls may emulate the sexual moves, not even understanding what they are seeing. Other examples are, Dolce and Gabbana print ads, of group sex or depicting a Rape scene.. to sell fashion of some sort. Do you feel that is okay? Similarly, Video Games promote sexual violence against women. Why should this be necessary in a video game?

Otherwise, due to unrealistic imagery and overall pressure for females to appear youthful, to conform to a particular standard, that makes women try to look a certain way or to not age.. which is impossible. It is that kind of pressure which causes some women, even young girls, to want boob jobs or otherwise go to some sort of extreme (facial work, anorexia, bulimia), in order to be "pleasing to men". They don't just come up with this themselves, but having this been projected upon women to "appear perfect", to want to conform to some standard shown to men, it can directly or subliminally affect females to some greater or lesser degree.

It would be difficult for you to imagine I'm sure, but I wonder how men would like it if ALL that was shown were sexualized depictions of young men, ads depicting "perfect males", products only for older men to look younger, images of attractive gay men (who generally are the most classically handsome), TV shows and ads depicting only hot-looking males - being with all types of female characters, instead. I wonder after even a few months of this, how tiring, frustrating and one-sided it would become and how straight males of all types would begin feeling?

So, you are telling straight women to just "enjoy the beauty a woman possesses"? Sure, women may recognize how another looks, comment on their cute clothes, jewelry, hairstyle... but that is not the point of the topic. Women don't care to see the overflow of the same, exact (and falsely depicted) imagery repeatedly and get the same messages, just as straight men would not care to have to see only handsome gay men depicted repeatedly and be told they should only look like that.

You said "Don't try to bring women down to another level, because a few of them feel differently" and that "smart, attractive women would not see any problem?" Lol..which "few" in society might that be? And smart, attractive women DO see a problem and have for years, having documentaries, etc., on the subject.

The fact that you chose to put the words personality and accomplishments in quotation marks when referring to women tells me a lot, so you, sir, are dismissed.
*In reference to the one you responded to: Unbelievable...but we know of what breed some men are.
