Key words here are "KIDS from the city school district."
Grownups need to go another route, though I certainly understand the practicality aspect.
backpacks with a suit is like other common urban/suburban/corporate fashion faux pas:
1) ski coats or parkas over suits
2) boat shoes or hyper-casual shoes (Crocs, etc) with suits
3) leggings worn as pants (and not as leggings) in a corporate setting
4) giant non-matching purse
5) casual skirts/party skirts/skater skirts (looks like a white collar worker doing the walk of shame at work)
6) black shoes that are not dress shoes pretending to be dress shoes

If you are going to quote something to prove a point, you may want to read what you are quoting to make sure it proves the point you are trying to make. Adults, in Elizabethan dress, wearing backpacks.
