Edit: Kinda looked like the pic in that link but they were a little tighter and the guys were older - I would guess in their late 50's or so. And they weren't denim, but soft cotton. And I should mention that I'm in Boston and walk about 15 min through some touristy areas on my way to the subway after work on most days. They may have been tourists? I don't know but it was definitely men and they were definitely wearing culottes.
That pic looks about 30 years old. If you saw similar they look more like baggy cargo shorts. I get what you're saying I think and actually I have seen something kind of capri length on men (Europeans I think) when on vacation.

Sorry all. Guess I'm getting my fashion terms mixed up. I absolutely do not mean Bermuda shorts. And I guess I don't mean culottes either.

As Fleetiebell said, they were capris that I saw guy swearing. Definitely capris. And it was still pretty ridiculous to see. Looked like they should have been holding a murse.

I just didn't know if it was an actual thing for men to wear them. And if so, I was getting my "make fun" arsenal built up for it.

What are culottes? Not sure what you're asking, OP.

Is this what it was? Heaven help us!

True culottes are made like pants but look like a skirt when you are standing with your feet side by side. think of them as sort of very full shorts, about knee length or a bit longer. If they get toward calf length they become gauchos.

When I was growing up, culottes were similar to what we now call "skorts".

So....capri pants on men is ridiculous....

But the men's "shorts" that go down to mid calf or right above the ankle are fine....

Sounds like someone is aiming for the 500 dollar prize. Way to go. You got people talking about an odd topic. I had to google what this item of clothing is. Never heard of it before. Are these coming back in style?

Ever wonder how many humans already have their "make fun of" arsenal already built up just for you and your choice of clothing?
