Only character in TV history that I can remember the shoes they wore was Larry David in "Curb Your Enthusiasm". He seemed to always be wearing low top "Chucks", Converse All-Stars.

Never paid attention to the footwear mentioned... so I cannot vote on a "best".

Other. I've never noticed their shoes. The only character whose shoes I ever noticed is probably Carrie Bradshaw.

If you're a sneaker head, you know that certain TV characters were known for their collection of kicks, namely Will Smith and Jerry Seinfeld for their Nikes.

Zach Morris had those converse high tops.
Marty McFly made the Nike Cortez famous.

And you can't forget Uncle Jesse's ugly white Reeboks. LOL

In his "Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood" sketches on "Saturday Night Live", Eddie Murphy would enter his apartment, take off the shoes that he was wearing, and put on a pair of blue suede Puma Clydes (my all-time favorite shoes). In a book I have about "SNL" he is pictured putting the shoes on the wrong feet.

Magnum, p.i. Tom Selleck wore some great sneakers. There is even a website dedicated to his gear.
