I'm starting to prefer the strapless bra since having to wear one to a wedding. No having to deal with those annoying straps & frequently adjusting the straps so it doesn't slip over my shoulder. And wearing a bra with straps while having a sunburn is painful.
I bought the maidenform strapless bra & no complaints with it. My only fear was that it would slip somehow & having a wardrobe malfunction lol.
Certainly not. A strapless bra simply does not provide the type of support that I need, all day. If you are pretty small up top, then perhaps it would be fine for you.

If your bra straps were slipping, even after adjusting, you were probably wearing the wrong size. And if you're getting sunburned frequently enough for straps to be an issue, you need to start wearing sunscreen. Bra straps are going to be the least of your issues when you have Stage 4 Melanoma.
I've never found a comfortable and supportive strapless bra.
No, I only wear them when absolutely necessary. The support is subpar for me, and the comfort certainly is. May not be as much of an issue for smaller-breasted women.

My boobs are small so that could be why it works for me.
And to answer apexgds comment, I was wearing sunscreen & even reapplied it throughout the day. Sometimes being out in the sun all day & being in the water will still cause sunburn.
they are so uncomfortable...the ones I have have some kind of silicone/gel sticky tape on the inside of the band to keep from slipping. I get nice chafe marks and indentions on my skin at the end of the day.
