So I know the obvious and most concise answer would be whatever looks and feels the most comfortable. However, if I am meeting this person at a sleek, yet casual bar/restaurant for this first time what do you think looks better for a man to wear in your own personal opinion. Thanks!

What do you look and feel better in? (are you talking MD or NY? since you appear to live in both)

I feel better in a polo, but think I actually look better in a dress shirt assuming I wear the proper pants. In MD btw.

Casual and July? Depends on how hot it is (you don't want sweat stains on a dress shirt) - depends also on the place.

It doesn't matter what you wear. What does matter is how rich you are.

You look better in a dress shirt? There's your answer. Roll your sleeves up and wear and wear a color. I prefer button down collars.
