Ok so I have lots and lots of socks, but they all tear or shrivel up in the washing machine! I'm kind of tired stretching my socks out to fit my feet.

I'm going to be going on a shopping spree soon so i'm wondering what brands of socks would be good for a young man? I will pay $20 for a couple of socks? Maybe a tiny bit more if they are really good.

PLEASE! I'd love a good pear that don't constantly tear! I don't care about the brand as long as it is durable.

I suggest fitsocks as an all around good sock. They are breathable and provide great traction. None of my fitsocks have ever torn, and I am not always good about trimming my toenails to prevent sock trauma.

They are made in USA.

I bought some mesh bags in which I wash my delicate clothing. Socks aren't really delicate, but they might keep them from stretching or tearing in the washing machine. I used to wash all my bras and camisoles by hand, but now I just use one of the laundry bags.

I hope the advice I just read in the other posts works for me. I throw out 2 or 3 pairs of socks a week because I get a hole in my heel after a long walk!

Fox River Mills.

Hands DOWN the best socks ever!

I work two jobs, one as quality control in a factory, and the other as a master stylist, and their socks hold up to 8hrs in steel toe work boots and another 4hrs at the salon. Bought 6 pair, and they are still as awesome and intact as the day I bought them last year!

And I wear a different pair every day 9-13 hrs daily at work.

I have never, ever had socks tear in the washing machine. What on earth are you doing to them?
