I dont know any man who has ever said.. lets do a little social experiment..hahaha and see if we can get you coming out nicer at the other end....and oh yes he is dictating... If he wants to change you, your not his type..

So a person in a relationship can never give an opinion on clothing, hair styles or makeup to the other according to you?
I love taking my husband shopping...he often spots items I would automatically overlook that end up looking fabulous.. So he asks me to try it on....not demand that I buy it.
The other day I saw a advertisement where the model had some interesting eye make up.....I sent it to my daughter to see if she liked it.....she tried it....lol...but it didn't really work for her.....but by suggesting it I am not dictating or demanding she does her make up like that every day.
My husband has told me what he likes with regards to makeup. Once in awhile I'll "play dressup" just to give him a thrill. The rest of the time I do as I please with my makeup, and it suits me just fine.
I can't imagine NOT wanting to hear your spouse's opinion, and at least making some attempt to honor it once in a blue moon. It goes both ways though. If I saw my husband wearing a brown belt with a black suit, I would hope he would gracefully accept my opinion that it's not a flattering look, and consider changing to a black belt once in awhile. Just for me.
A guy can follow her BF but if it make her face very ugly then he must not being deserve BF. Because in future he will interfere your all personal matter that makes you so unhappy.
