Whenever I see a woman on the street in heels, she is almost always doing the Wiggins or else she is doing that bow-legged "my feet are killing me" walk. I think it ruins the whole effect. So no, in real life, I don't think it's hot. It's also unhealthy. Take a look at those feet at age 50 - it's gross. I don't think unhealthy is hot.
This. I can't wear them anymore. I'm 38, and they hurt my feet. I don't know exactly when this phenomenon occurred, but I haven't lost any sleep over it. It's actually a nice thing because my wife is a little shorter than me so I'm almost her height in flats and when we're out on a date, she feels less self conscious about it when I'm not towering over her.
No, heels create very ugly feet - bunions and hammertoes. And most women can't walk properly in them. Soooo not hot. Cute sandals and strappy flats are far more attractive.
This is a board about fashion, not about what gives you a boner.
Is there another purpose for fashion? Otherwise we would all be in functional science fiction work suits. I guess to show off your economic strength but in its own way that is just another form of attracting others to you.
It's more about the walk, Vinnie. If you can stroll smoothly down the street in stilettos, I'd say that's sexier than the Mrs. Wiggins - Carol Burnett secretary walk.
Yeah, exactly. A woman who can't walk in heels is a real turn off. Also, women who cram their feet into smaller high heels/shoes and end up with gnarled feet? HUGE turn off! Better they had never put on heels, or had just worn their actual true size.
