On men over 30 who are not at a game? Or fishing or engaged in another out door activity that does not have it's own head gear? - They don't look high end.
I think when politicians are attempting to identify with the "common man" - they don a baseball cap. In that case, it's an affectation.
The question, as I read it, has to do with the habit of constantly wearing baseball caps everywhere, and in every occasion, by middle aged men. Not 9 year old boys.
The topic brought out a lot of snotty and snobby people I would have little in common with.
It's as if everything they wear, do, eat and say is according to "Miss Manners" and I don't buy a word of it.
It's like how much money claim they are worth or what kind of car they drive.
I think here to be more paupers than princes.

People who thinks it looks ghetto to wear a BB cap have a low class/uniformed/ignorant mindset.
Low class has nothing to do with what you wear, but how you act.
I must laugh at all the people saying that "x person has a ton of money and wears them, therefore they're not low class", as if money and class are the same.
Yes, baseball caps are low class and worn backwards makes you look stupid.
Sometimes I wake up and don't feel like wetting my hair to get rid of bedhead and combing it, so I'll thrown on a cap. I don't give two craps what anyone thinks.
And I'm sure people get the message you "don't give two craps what anyone thinks" and treat you accordingly.
The ones who wear the arched ones vs the flat billed ones.
Its all losers who wear the flat billed ones, I have never seen these ghetto/loser people wear the normal baseball caps.
Normal ones I have seen worn among many normal and middle class people here.
Flat bill, curved, fitted, or snapback; wtf dies it matter, only a loser would judge somebody on the design of the hat. And what is a "normal baseball cap?"
