I saw the slide show and every man up there would probably want to hang out at my brothers gay bar. So what you are saying is gay men are carring purses. I don't know any stait men that have them.

you've never seen a straight man carry ANYTHING like any of those pictures?

for guys who aren't worried about carrying a bag, my current favorite company selling nice leather bags is Brothers Leather Supply out of Grand Rapis, MI:

OK for the Very First Time last weekend I saw a young guy with a green leather tote of the variety I'd like to own.

It was bright green too. Definitely designed for women.

I thought he looked awesome. Utterly on trend.

But then, I'm a fashion junkie.

Huh, OP, I always thought "murse" is a male nurse and midhusband is a male midwife.

And those are not purses. They are European shoulder bags.

Just another way to sissyfy a man.

i am seriously surprised at how many people on city data are apparently unnerved by or question the sexuality of a man carrying a bag. I live in South Carolina of all places currently and even then this is not new or surprising or odd to me.

Same here. Both my straight, sports loving, family-man brothers (one in IL and one in AZ) carry them daily. I think it's the older generation that's put off by them. Most men who have worked in or were raised in the computer age (and/or who travel a lot) wouldn't think twice about it. My brothers both have gloves with tech tips and wear hats because they like them, not because they're covering up baldness. Are those things also sissified?

the closest thing I have to a man bag is an over the shoulder strap to square ammo pouch, I take hunting with me,,it has bullets,,,,gutting knife , and maybe sandwich

tho I do carry a briefcase daily at work with a laptop and papers inside ..

the guys I have seen with the murses...looked like they should be carrying them..
