IMO, athletic shoes are casual, just as jeans are casual, so they go together just fine, for men and women.
I wear sneakers with jeans all the time, but not running shoes. Instead I wear casual suede sneakers. I get compliments on them.

Anyway, just curious to get some thoughts!
dont castrate yourself with skinny jeans

I agree with most of the pictures you referenced, except for the one, below, where the fellow is wearing an elastic waistband. Some disabled people can only dress themselves with clothes that are easy-on, easy-off.

I apologize for being crude here, but some men honestly can't help it. I think the obvious female comparison here is the breast. Some women flaunt them, some women can't help them, and all women are different.

That is an entirely differnt scenario and I do not believe that any person would begrudge them for wearing clothing that is easy for them to dress themselves.

I think we can universally agree that no jeans that are6 inches below your butt. And pick ones that fit.

Personally I don't mind skinny jeans (not super skinny ones) on the right guy. You have to be skinny but not too skinny. You also can't have muscular thighs.

Slim fit works for all. And as for shoes? Fancy sneakers + jeans are a win. The right boots are good too. I also like loafers and driving shoes. I am a prep so that is more my scene.

I know this thread is about mens jeans but to be fair ...women do the CRACK thing too, and it looks just as horrible. Only they do it deliberately to show off a TS or some overpriced g-string undergarment they deemed necessary for the world to see. Either way.. it's bad idea.
