To me it's just as narcissistic as breast implants. I'm not a fan of either. I think it's curious you think one is acceptable and the other isn't.
I would suggest that the OP is of a certain age. Breast obsession was a long-standing habit with the American male and breast "enhancement" played to that demographic. But younger men are getting their ideas of what is sexy today from online porn. Of course there will always be porn that focuses on breasts, but today's porn trains the camera on another part of the female anatomy.
Porn is also the source of men's current obsession with women having huge mouths. No just the lips. The whole mouth has to be big. Guess why. Look at faces that are considered beautiful today versus what was in vogue 40 years ago. The woman considered to be seductive today has a mouth twice as big as what used to be considered attractive and in proportion to the rest of the face.
There are always going to be women who contort their bodies into all sorts of unnatural appearances to be pleasing to the male gaze. Today it's the derriere with sky-high heels worn for the purpose of pushing it out even further. Not to mention huge amounts of money spent on hair extensions because men persist in finding long hair sexier than short hair and even more money spent to make that hair blonde. And let's not forget lip injections to get the pouty look that is really only natural on young girls.
Not all that different from the days when Asian women had their feet bound so they would have to walk in a prancing way that emphasized their hips and buttocks, body parts Chinese men found fashionably attractive ... and it made them physically helpless, something some men also find alluring.
I'm a guy. I'm glad I don't have to do that kind of ridiculous stuff. If only the women knew how much we don't like all that crap. Every day doesn't have to be a fashion show.
Half the time it's also about how women feel about themselves once they have it.
Guys workout to appear buff. Not all women like that either. But it makes us feel good to not be a scrawny guy.
I have noticed that breast implants have gone from the exaggerated and obviusly fake to the more tailored and natural looking. Are there not high end butt implants with a more natural look?
