Saw an ad for a canvas handbag that I liked. $17.50, postage free, so decided to risk it since I could pay with Paypal. It took 20 days arriving and is nice. A little larger than expected, but that's all right. So I ordered some small silk scarves from China for 99 cents each, no postage. They've arrived and are perfect. Now, I have on order more scarves, the long chiffon type and a few other items. Usually when there is no postage, it's obviously included in the cost of whatever is bought, but not much can be hidden when the price is so low. I enjoy bargains, but will have to be careful not to go overboard. Do you like bargains?
The safety regulations are far more lax there and as these are technically not imported to the US they do not have to meet our regulations.
There have been cases of chemicals being added to fabrics (stiffeners, dyes, etc.) that are not safe. I would not order anything from China let alone wear it next to my skin.

I agree for these reasons ^^^.
I found out that one of my older sons ordered some kind of bootleg NBA jersey from China. He thought it was the greatest thing ever, until false charges started showing up on his account.
I could buy 99 cent scarves right here in town at Dollar Tree, and they are probably made in China.

You are right, China's products are very cheap.
