Is it tacky for your bra to kind of show when you wear a white top/blouse? What I mean is the shirt is light in color and slightly fitted so you can see in the indentations of the bra straps/band on your back, and of course the bra is a conservative color/beige.

If your bra is beige, under the white shirt....then that is just the way it has to be. Especially if it is a uniform shirt/outfit. Indentations just show you are adhering to the dress requirements of whatever company you are working for.

If the beige/nude bra shows (and that is your skin tone) - your blouse is too sheer, if you have indentations, you are wearing the wrong size.

Ok, it is a white V-neck from old navy, made of cotton. Really would not call this sheer. The reason for the indentations is because the shirt is semi-fitted, which Old Navy does a lot of tops in this style. Some are fitted, some are loose, etc.

No, the reason for the indentations is because the shirt is too small. A shirt that is fitted in the right size is very different than a shirt that is obviously too small.

With a white shirt/blouse one can wear either a white or beige/nude color bra. But in any case one shouldn't be able to see due to indentations to the bra.

This is what I am talking about. Obviously a shirt this light in color will show undergarments more than a dark color would. Just asking if it's tacky if you can see an outline of a bra. OUTLINE, no indentations, should have not used that word.

Just like with tank tops in the summer, some women let their bra straps show, some wear strapless bras, etc.

I would not be at all self conscious about wearing that top with a nude or white bra. Maybe you could go a size up, so its looser?

They make "t-shirt" bras - bras made to be worn under shirts like that - the bras are smoother and unadorned. Looks better than outlines or "indentions"

I think depending on how much the outline shows or how the outfit drapes overall, it could be tacky, it could be just fine.
