* can't edit title- should say PILLING*

I have a few old sweatshirts that have pilling. Is it worth it to save them? I've never tried it, but read you can use a sanding sponge to rub them off or even use a shaving razor.

You can buy a little gadget that shaves the pilling off. But if you do that more than once or twice, guess what? You end up with a hole.

If your sweatshirts are something special or they have sentimental value, then do what you can to save them. If they're just the basic $6 Hanes ones, buy some fresh ones and use the old ones for cleaning rags.

Use an old razor and "shave" them off

If they are pilling, then I suspect they are not all cotton. If they have poly in them, then they might not be the best quality. Have they resisted fading? If not, then I'd say, use them when you paint the house or when you do deep cleaning. Buy new, fresh ones for wearing outside the house.

I've had all cotton sweatshirts pill. Usually the cheaper ones.

Buy a shaver and turn them inside out when you wash them. That's about all you can do.

There's some kind of cheap gadget I've seen that shaves them off.
