I always make sure I wear waterproof mascara, as my eyes can get watery in the cold, windy weather here and I don't want to end up with black smudges around my eyes!
The most important thing for me though, is not the actual mascara, but to curl my eyelashes with an eyelash curler beforehand. Eyelash curlers are the best beauty inventions ever!
My eyelashes have always been long, but as I got older, they thinned out. Research on mascaras taught me one thing: It's the brush that makes the most difference.
A thin-toothed brush will give you longer lashes, and a fat brush with lots of bristles will give you the most volume. If you find a formula you like, it may be the brush.
For those who want more volume, coat just the tips of your lashes first, repeat, then apply from the base upward. It really makes a difference in volume.
i hate wearing mascaras. no matter how much i try, i always get clumpy lashes. i have long lashes, but they're so hard to curl, even with a good curler.
how do people here get a curl from their mascara without using their curler first? i always wonder about those hypes from certain curling mascaras. those never work for me without prior use of a curler
My daughter and I have tried almost every brand mentioned and we did use Lancome until we
found Chanel's Inimitable Intense. There's no going back now.
Favorite cheap backup Mascara: Maybelline Full N' Soft
Me too!! The waterproof version, since I wear contacts. I used to swear by Volum Express (classic) but they discontinued it. Full n Soft is the closest I've found. Waterproof, but doesn't turn your lashes into rocks and pull them out.

I've heard favorable reviews of this, but NO WAY would I pay $32.00 for a tube of mascara. Cosmetics can be incredibly overpriced, since this probably costs only a few dollars - if that - to make.
