I've always had tri-fold leather wallets that last at least a couple of years. Right now I'm considering a leather wallet with RFID protection as my wife and daughter both had their purses and CCs scanned last month. We've already placed our CCs into RFID sleeves.
Bought wife Coach wallets for years but was really disappointed with last one. She ended up going to Target and got a cheap one that has room for all her stuff ( she carries too much in it, CCs , etc). I am usually rather thrifty but I splurge on Louis Vuitton thin wallets. Brother used to work at Saks so we could get them cheaper. I will shop carefully and get authentic ones on Ebay. You have to do your homework to avoid the fakes.
This wallet is about three years old and survives all the crawling around and harsh weather conditions I'm in, including "sapass" sweat in the summer. That's when your tush, boxers and jeans are so sweaty, it feels like you jumped in the lake.
I had one made for me out of Horween Cordovan leather.
I would have one made for me again or get a Whitehouse Coxwallet, thought the money size is different.
