I wasn't sure if this is the best place for this question, but thought I'd start here. I have been a user for many years of Norelco's electric razors that have the "lift and cut" blades that supposedly lift the hair slightly to cut just below the skin. The razor I've been using for a few years has started to fail so I needed to buy a replacement- I am now seeing that Norelco's razors- all except some of the most expensive ones- no longer have lift and cut blades, they have blades labeled "comfort cut".
My question is, have any of you that may have used both really noticed a major difference between lift and cut and the non-lift and cut blades that Norelco offers? Is it really just more of a gimmic and in reality no better than any other rotary blades from Norelco or other brands?
