Hahahaha.

There you have it - if you see someone dressed inappropriately during a live broadcast, contact the station immediately and action might be taken. There is hope; we don't have to accept the slide to trashiness as perpetrated by people on TV. (FYI, not saying the on-air handling was right, but I don't feel sorry for her, and I've seen worse TV clothing choices than that.)

I thought this might be in Nebraska or some other rural area, but it is in Los Angles. A cocktail dress might not be the most appropriate uniform for reporting the weather but it far from obscene. It seems probable to me this crisis was manufactured for attention.

A black beaded dress for morning weather?

Why don't on air journalists dress professionally anymore?

Considering her locale, good chance she pulled an all nighter of some kind in that dress. Clueless, she is!

On the macro level, economy (e.g., clothing retailers) and media using shock value to make money and lack of good role models. More immediately as it concerns 'journalists,' social media - they're trying to build their following by posting interesting selfies. Their social media popularity likely is used by potential employers as a factor in hiring.

What do you all want her to wear? Suit and tie? Some old gown from the 70's that Loretta Lynn would wear? Absolutely nothing wrong with what she had on (unless youre like some sort of religious fanatical).

That's absurd. They couldn't handle what the traffic reporters in Houston wear. Dang!

I am absolutely SHOCKED by what I just witnessed in this report! I mean, this woman was just standing there like there's nothing wrong in the world, when it was clear as day that it was SIXTY-ONE DEGREES!!! In bleepin' SANTA ANA!!!!

(Oh, wait, this is about what she was wearing. Meh. Seems OK to me.)

The dress was a cocktail dress and not appropriate for the job or the time of day. That said, putting a sweater on midway through the report didn't change that and in fact drew even more attention.

no such thing as bad publicity

I never heard of this person but now traffic will be driven to her facebook page and add to her 'fanbase'

By the way I have zero fashion sense so when I first saw the dress I wasn't sure what the fuss was about. It wasn't racy or anything.
