Hygiene is a word that relates to being disease free through maintaining a healthy level of cleanliness. Do you honestly think people who wear their bra or blue jeans more than once have diseases you do not?
I think you should spend less time worrying about how often other people wash their bras, and learn some freshman bio. For example, hand washing your laundry does not make them more hygienic because it does not do anything for bacteria or any other disease causing agents. To have any impact on the amount of bacteria on your clothing, you would have to wash them in hot and dry them on high. Anyone who buys quality lingerie will generally be unwilling to do so.
So if you want to feel morally superior for washing your bras more than someone else, know that you are rocking as much boob bacteria as the girls who only wash them after ::gasp:: two wears.
People have the right to be as nasty or clean as they choose to be. If someone wants to go cry about someone else expressing distaste towards people wearing bras or clothes multiple times without washing them too bad. I honestly think YES you should not wear clothes that directly touch you skin more then once without washing them. You don't have to like this opinion, but it not going to change. You are free to do or say what you want. Not really going to brother me as last time I check the sense of smell does not flow threw the internet !
Regarding the Coco Chanel comment based on the comments I am reading I not feeling we are talking about high end fashion garments vs just regular items . I am pretty sure if someone was wearing clothes from Chanel they could afford a few more bras.
If a woman is soiling her bra after one use (where exercising is not involved) something is up.
In your opinion. Some people are more physically active then others in general. I would not wait until something got to the point that is smelled bad to wash it.
In my laundromat days of long ago I hated washing clothes there so much I only did it once a month. So I invested in 31 pairs of underpants so I would have enough clean pants to last that long. I can't even remember how many bras I had, but it was less than 31.
I have about 100 pairs of undies, so theoretically I could do 4 loads of laundry per year. I tend to do smaller batches, but only every 4-6 weeks or so.
Bras are hand washed as I don't have a delicate setting on my washer. But not after every use!!
As a DD, my bras tend to be miracles of modern engineering. Finding a bra that is both comfortable, supporting, and sexy is expensive (typically northwards of $75) and I like them to last as long as possible (a year would be wonderful). It is a known fact that washing bras stretches them, maybe with your magic boobs you don't notice something as mundane as stretched fabric but many of the rest of us do.
That being said, even fashion magazines advise against washing after every wear.
I you can get good bras that meet those needs at a lower price point then $75. I am around the same size and can find good stuff (sexy, comfortable and supportive cheaper). You just need to know where and when to stock up.

That's not really an opinion. You either are sweating or you aren't. You're either producing BO or you aren't. If you're making your bra dirty after wearing it once during the work day then wash away. People are just saying that don't all experience what you experience. I can see you're having a difficult time understanding this, but it's indeed the case.

A good minimizer bra at 34E or 34F (maybe 32F) is not only going to be hard to find, it's not going to be cheap.
I'm the OP. I don't sweat a lot in normal circumstances. I still don't like to wait until my bras are dirty before I wash them, just as I don't wait until I'm smelly to take a shower.

Depends on the band size; good luck finding DD in a 32 or smaller at any American mass retailer.
I don't know where I would put that many! I've probably had a lot of bras at one time, but most that no longer fit. Throwing them out is always hard given the price. I'm down to three now that fit well enough. Meh, my mother got a reduction and that made her life much easier. It's tempting.
Actually, you're supposed to buy a bra that fits well in the middle hook position (I used to do bra fittings for a company I was with) - that way, if you lose a little weight, you can tighten it, gain a couple lbs. you can go to the end hook.
Nope. You were taught incorrectly.
I was told this by a professional fitter. Twice.
