the strangest comment I ever got was because I had a t-shirt with the name of a famous French University, a guy asked me if I spoke French? then he accused me of being a FAKER / POSER / IDIOT

because I was wearing the shirt but didnt go to that school, thats one reason I stopped wearing any type of clothing with anything printed on it, especially if Im not affiliated with that school, company, sports team, etc.

Geez, that's an extreme response based on one comment...and I thought I worried too much about what others thought.

I can't recall ever receiving a "strange" comment, but I'm often asked why I'm in heels. I guess because I'm tall, it's expected that I should only wear flats.

I do tend to get a visceral facial response from some women when I'm "dressed up." I call it the snarl. And I'm using the term "dressed up" loosely. If I wear something along the likes of a sweater dress with heeled boots, I get the once-over followed with a snarl. It used to bother me, but now I get amusement out of it.

I heard a funny comment today! I got some new shoes (feminine oxford style shoes) and a woman said to me, "Let me give you my address, so you can send me those shoes when you get tired of them."

I thought it was creative.

Sometimes people ask me why I "dressed up", which I find odd because I spend very little money on clothes (shop at thrift stores) and I have a skin condition so I tend to wear blouses instead of T-shirts lately.

And of course there are awkward old ladies that have asked me whether I am pregnant when I started gaining weight in my belly (due to a medication I was on). I mostly just felt sorry for them because they had no clue how socially inappropriate their comments were!
