I think it's cruel not to honor the grandmother. How petty. The dresses he picked out look way over the top formal for just church. Like wedding-type formal. If she eats a cookie and drinks juice with other kids or runs around outside on the lawn who wants to be responsible for satin and lace? Puh-leze.
Ummm, well....
Ok; I TOTALLY get how fun it is to "bling out the baby", I really, really do!
I have 7 boys & 4 girls in this order:
boy
boy
boy
boy
boy-girl twins, daughter passed later that year.
boy
girl
girl-girl twins
boy
Ooooh I luv dressing up those baby girls! (total PITA when they become teens, though!)
HOWEVER; with the exception of :
Baptism
Easter
Christmas
Flower-girl in a wedding
First Communion
...why on earth would someone put themselves (& the bebe) through all that!
Besides, if baby is uncomfortable, you are going to end up in a stuffy cry-room anyway & nobody will be "appreciating" baby in there!
My go-to outfit for under 6 months old was usually a snap crotch onsie with a little foo-foo lace & matching booties (for summer) & a snap-up the leg jammie cut (longsleeve & leg; one peice) onsie with a matching beanie type hat in the winter.
But, it's all good, OP, I know sometimes it's just too hard to resist ( I just had alot of kids; had to pick my battles)!
No, that's not it. Just seems like such a loooooong chat with a transfer of photobucket illustrations(?) and discussion of every opinion on dresses for babies from the entire family tree, and how the man feels and why do women think they know everything about dressing....CHAT?
I was hoping your story would end with your manager coming along and asking: "Would you 2 get the hell to work already??!"
I did give you my honest dress opinion though
....and managed to toss in the obligatory slam at religion.
Anyway, OP, I like the last two (although I doubt anyone really cares about the appropriateness of an infant's getup).
I couldn't open.the third link because I kept getting a notice that I'd won.a Walmart gift card.
I hardly think it matters. I've never even noticed what newborns were wearing in church. I think it really doesn't make any difference what they put her in. Nobody is going to care one way or another.
they will if its that first creation.. who or what thought that was nice for a baby... its awful.. I notice what babies are wearing and would only have the pale pink or similar of a tiny baby..
