It seems like it's not as accepted the older you get to wear certain hairstyles. I love wearing double/twin buns and I don't feel like it makes me look childish even though I do look young for my age. Regardless, I see nothing wrong with it. Thoughts?

Also I mean simple twin buns, nothing like this even though to each's own.

Mod cut. Copyrighted image deleted.

CAN they? Yes.
SHOULD they is another issue. Princess Leia had no issue with it....

Your example is extremely childish, and suitable only for cons and/or Halloween.

I also like to wear one bow sometimes.
Like this one. Or with a floral pattern.

I agree with this. Not much to add really.

If you like the style, then why shouldn't you wear it? You shouldn't be concerned about what anyone else thinks about it.

I wonder what the OP thinks happens when she turns 18... that she needs to rethink the hairstyle that is fine when she is 17.

I wear them once in a while and I'm in my early 30's. (No bows, though!) I only wear them at home though or for an extremely casual situation. I wouldn't wear them to work or anything like that. I guess to me, it's sort of on par with wearing a hoodie or sweats... it's all dependent on the situation.

I'm 30 and miss the days of being able to wear them more often. I'll still do two braids when we go camping or hiking but otherwise don't wear my hair like that. Kind of lame that a hair style is labeled as being childish.
