Make up just sweats off on a tropical island. I wouldn't go to s cold island with or without makeup.

Well; darn me. The poll is 6 for 6 & I reconsidered.

I based my answer on what I wanted to think & was driving down the road about an hour ago & it dawned on me that I was lying to myself.

I only put on minimal make-up for very, very unusual situations. Perhaps, a dozen times in the last 25 years.

BTW, I did put on make-up for my wedding, not to attend someone else's wedding.

I rarely wear makeup now.

Island irrelevant.

Mod cut: Orphaned (quoted post has been deleted).

I would bring along my makeup. I like makeup. To me it's fun, and one form of self-expression, just like our clothing choices are. I don't cake my makeup on and I don't wear it every day or everywhere, but if there was room in the suitcase and if it wasn't replacing anything vital, like food or medicine, sure, I'd bring it.

Yup. I usually wear at least some makeup in public, even when I'm not with my husband, and I'm certainly not trying to attract men other than him. I've heard many times that women dress for other women as much as for men, and I think it's true. When other women compliment something I'm wearing, I figure it must actually look nice. I don't take compliments from men (other than DH) nearly as seriously.

I would bring some makeup with to pass out to the ladies if they wanted some, stuff like blush, mascara, foundation, rouge, lip stick...eye shadow...am I missing anything...?

Oh, and in this scenario there aren't any modern amenities/conveniences/creature comforts. Just an otherwise deserted island where you would have to build your own shelter, and forage for food. There are 25 women and there is enough food for all for one month but that is assuming none of the other women get greedy and take more than they need per day. Other than that once all the food is gone you won't be given anymore till the year is over.

Well...in that case, who the hell would be thinking about makeup? This is bare-bones survival.
