Manscaping the groin area is a must, especially when you're dating younger women. Most of the women I've dated have a very well shaven nether region. For men, it's good to keep it trimmed but not fully shaven like the porn guys. Plus, keeping it trimmed up tight makes IT look bigger!

1. No! For me, it takes a huge amount of muscle, to compensate for lack of body hair.

2. "Acceptable", yes. But I find transgendered people acceptable, too. I take no moralistic stance on the issue. I'm just not attracted to hairless men.

3. Yes!!!!! I suspect that many women are either latent cradle-robbers, or would actually, secretly, prefer to be with other women. They probably only go with grown men, because grown men are the best at paying the bills, and because grown men are the "socially acceptable" choice in mates. I'm attracted to actual, real MEN. So, for me, THE HAIRIER, THE BETTER.

I don't see the problem with men shaving under their arms - I think it's a good thing, because it's more hygienic to do so. I don't think it's at all un-manly.

I'm not bothered if there isn't much chest hair either. Or if there is some, then they want to trim it. It's better than too much, that looks like a jungle!

When it's more natural it's not an issue. The strict routine of waxing/shaving to be nearly or completely hairless is unattractive to me but I am atrracted to more manly men than metrosexual.

I didn't even know my boyfriend did "manscaping" until he told me about two years into our relationship. Gee...what he must look like when he doesn't groom. lol.

A hairy chest/abdomen can be very sexy and attractive. I can't stand it when a naturally-hairy man shaves his chest hair or his abdominal hair. It's as if he's trying to be something that he's not. If you're hairy then just accept yourself as you are.

That being said, I don't see anything wrong with trimming (or shaving) the pubes. It's more hygienic and less messy that way. Ditto for the underarms (trimming). But completely hairless underarms on men look creepy.

Absolutely. I once made the mistake of taking off all my body hair. When it grew back about 2 weeks worth, the ends dug into my skin when wearing clothes and made me itch and burn terribly. It was about a month, before it was long enough again to not cause that problem. Fortunately, it was in the Summer and except when I was working and in college classes, I went shirtless. Never again! Besides, a woman once told me how much she liked my golden-red chest hair. If a guy gets told something like that by just one woman, he'll never again shave it.

Most people look better with some, errr, attention to detail when it comes to body hair.

Too much:

Too little:

You took a picture of my black lab?!
How did you get that?

I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.

(Sorry - I don't get a chance to say that very often.)

(And no, I don't mean I would literally kill you - just for the record!)

As for ear hair, electrolysis is painful, expensive, but the only way to get rid of it completely and permanently. When it started on me in my 40's, I freaked, went to electrologist, and along with back hair it got nuked. Now I maybe get a couple of treatments per year, mostly on the back of my neck. Occasionally I get a new ear hair but usually only one.

I can't find it online but also have a hand-held, battery operated probe electrolysis tool - I can tell you that this thing is 100% legit, but, it is slow. And I have better manual dexterity than most, apparently. But used correctly, it will destroy about one hair per minute. Doing ear hair involves using a hand held mirror in one hand, the tool in the other, and looking into a big mirror.
