Rainy season is starting for me, as today has the first rain.
I hate the rain. Ans I hate getting wet. One way I cope is wearing a dress / skirt and tights! With boots, typically short ones. My jackets are hip length. Tights dry faster than pants.
I usually switch to a saffiano leather bag, to save the soft leather bags. I have taken to using a backpack for work, and mine are water resistant, so no changing bags!
A rain outfit..hahaha dont have one..just any old jacket, and I do have wellies for taking the dog to the park in the rain complete with rain..
And without rain. My wellies with heels. love them.. #
Im getting funny looks from my hubby for having my wellies on the table and taking photos.. good for the snow too.. take note all.. £7 quid from ebay.. OH dear almost forgot my brolly... cant go out without it.

Here in Florida our rainy season happens in the summer so our rain gear consists of an umbrella. When I lived on Long Island I wore a London Fog type raincoat in black (of course, it was New York). I have never worn "wellies" although they sound like an excellent idea. Do you wear them over your regular shoes, change to your regular shoes when you get to your destination or you just wear them all day? Yours are so cute.

no not over shoes, thats them and comfy too... I only wear them to the park on wet days... first pair Ive worn in over sixty years hahaha.. they come higher with a long zip too and in other colours..
Normally we never have all day rain event; we have our heavy afternoon rainstorm which passes within an hour or so but if I still lived up north I would buy a pair of those.

My rainy day outfit consists of a knee-length, double-breasted trench coat, umbrella, and rain boots or older shoes.
I wear rain boots if there's a heavy rain or if I'm casual--not going anywhere special. If I'm well-dressed, I wear older shoes that I don't mind getting wet.
Casual wear is dark skinnies, bean boots, and my hip length rain coat. Here in the NE, many of us have jacket systems that consist of a waterproof lightweight outer shell we use as raincoats, and inner fleece/thinsulate layers.
Dressy days, I have navy mid height wellies, I can wear with most outfits and a black trenchcoat style raincoat (still with a hood) from DKNY that I love.
I agree with OP that bags become an issue. For dressy it is a littler easier since patent leather numbers do fine and look good with the wellies but I don't think patent looks good with most of my casual clothes. I have two older coach bags that I will switch into on casual rainy days because I tend not to worry as much if they get water spotted.
