I think anyone can wear jeans, what a silly question! I would say that the look should be more conservative with age though. I'm 35 and mostly wear dark wash ones without embroidery or embellishment. I'll wear ripped up black ones when I'm out and about but that's about as far as I go. Oh, and I would never wear low waisted ones. I think too many people make that mistake. Unless you are young and small, it's usually not flattering. But I will never stop wearing jeans. If I live to 110 I'll still be wearing them!

What magically happens that jeans, which are fine when you are 52, are no longer viable at age 53?

I am in my 60s and I will never do without my jeans.
Same here: in my 60s. I have them on right now. My older sister is 73. She won't stop wearing them either.

Jeans are considered nerdy and uncool by everyone under 25.
I don't know what planet you are from, but out here in the real world, all the women of all ages are nerdy and uncool then.

I am 70 and I wear jeans every day when it is not summer. If someone doesn't like it that's too bad.

Just the reason for us 'old folks' to wear them. I don't like them too tight, but its pretty much the only kind of pants I wear, and I'm not a skirt or dress fan. The knee high boots don't look near as good with them anyway.

Anyone can wear jeans! Doesn't matter the age, they are probably one of the most versatile clothing options for guys and girls.
