Also, there are official neutrals and other colors that are new neutrals.

Official neutrals: black, white, grey, khaki, navy, camel, dark brown
These pair with anything. Colorful dressing 101 says trick to one neutral and add one item of color. Like white shirt, black pants, colorful ties.

New neutrals: burgundy/oxblood/wine

In my own wardrobe, I think of cobalt blue as a neutral as it actually matches with my color palette really well. I don't think of it as a color.

Advanced color matching is using contrasting colors on the color wheel. For example I like fuschia or bright pink paired with cobalt blue or a bright green.

Right now patterns on prints are very popular for men as is bespoke.

Hire a tailor and have your clothes fitted.

Pattern matching is advanced. I think you need to get down complimenting and contrasting g before pattern matching.
