I'm guessing this is the right sub-forum to list this since it's fashion related... if not, let me know & I'll ask the mods to switch.
I can do simple alterations... mainly taking up/down sleeve/skirt/pant leg lengths. But, I'd like to do other simple alterations on clothing, like taking in the seams of a too-big shirt, or taking out the seams of a too-tight dress. I know I can do it, I just would feel more comfortable reading instructions or watching a video first.
Does anyone have a book or tape recommendation on modern alterations? Since everything else DIY is available, I'm assuming sewing alterations would be, too. I can't find anything that isn't so old, it's not useful... like altering the puffy sleeves of a Holly Hobby type dress.
I have. That's why I posted here, asking for suggestions.
