Sears selling its Craftsman line is certainly a bad sign for them.
Yep, I never thought I'd see that. I love Sears, have my lone credit card through them. I'd hate to see them go. It's a generational store for my family. Sure, I don't buy tools, but their clothing is good and fragrance prices, well you gotta shop around sometimes...
I wish they were targeting the over 30 crowd although maybe they were lately. I don't think I had been in one for several years. Previously I would venture in there at times - thinking maybe I would get lucky as I used to be there and then there would be nothing at all for me. I guess they just totally lost their way, and with the crappy quality.... There's H and M which is pretty junky ( I dont mean to offend anyone) but then when you pay little$ you don't have expectations of longevity.
Nah I agree, I was browsing one here and shocked at how shoddy they clothes looked. Although why should I be shocked, seems a lot of stores that used to be quality ten years plus ago... aren't anymore.
I didn't go much to The Limited, I do remember Limited 2 I think... I wonder what else is going out of business in the next few years? Maybe we should make some predictions.
As a man, I've never shopped there, but it's still a store I grew up with. Seems for many it's gonna be like it was for me when FYE closed their Suncoast stores.
Back before I had to go to plus sizes, I was a HUGE Limited fan. I still remember a shirt I bought there - a blue and brown plaid shirt with very very thin orange lines, worn with navy blue pants....gosh I loved that outfit.
I bought a sleeveless top there that buttoned down the front, scoop neck - a rather sexy number that looked great on my not terribly sexy figure. Went back to get one in another color but they were sold out. I said something about them being so popular that they'd probably bring them out again, and the salesgirl informed me that once Limited sold out of a popular design, there would be no more, ever.
And she was right.
Then they had their junior division for tweens - those were the only clothes that fit my daughter during her middle school years.
Use to shop for jeans there during mid 2000s. Back then bootcut was so in. One year later skinny jeans entered and that was that. They only had one store in my area.
The Limited was a big part of my high school experience (late '80s). I haven't shopped there in decades, but I'm sad to see them go.
