When I was 7 years old and there was a terrible earthquake. It was fun to see the neighbors ... they were all dresses spectacular. In my opinion. Ha ha. It was cold, winter. I could never unsee that.
A couple of times in the winter I've put on my full length hoodie and boots to run errands and nobody knows the difference. Don't even take time to comb my hair if I'm in a hurry.
When I was in grade school, my grandma sent me...well...I wasn't sure if they were street clothes or pajamas. I even asked my mom about it. She said they were 'street clothes'. So one day, I wore them to hang with my friends and walk up to 7/11 to get slushies.
My friends wondered why I was wearing my pajamas in public. I told them they WEREN'T pajamas. My mom said so. So that was that.
When I got home later, I told my mom about the conversation, supremely confident that the clothes were NOT pajamas. She looks me over and says "Well, maybe they ARE pajamas." LOL
And that was the last time I wore pajamas in public.
Never have, never will, although I once took a few steps out of my front door wearing a robe and slippers to let a spider out.
