I'm involved in a mixed soccer club and there are only 3 girls in the team, 2 of the other girls can't make it so I'm left being the only female in at the end of year event (it was suppose to be in Dec but canceled)...there are 6 of us who will attend.
So I'm in my late 40s whereas most of the other guys there are early to mid 20s with two in their 30s....
Any suggestions? What would be a good look without looking way too girly at the event or looking too old for my age and trying too hard to fit in? Thanks.
Baby blue tuxedo. That is the only thing that will be appropriate. Everyone else will be in them. You do nto want to be the only person not in a baby blue tuxedo.

I'm not sure you should worry about looking too girly. I mean after all you are female and they know it--nothing wrong with that. As for age, the more conservative something is the older it seems: dark colors, long hemlines, high necklines, a loose/shapeless fit. Where is the event being held? Day or night? And what do you normally wear to events?
A blouse, trousers, and heels or a cocktail dress and heels. Don't worry about being too girly, now's an event where you can show it off and get all dolled up!
