I got a sample, it seemed fine, but I found the Boots brightening products to be effective and they are way cheaper. I used this for 3 years - and my skin looked pretty good.

Don't forget your sunscreen - that helps you stay even.
I found my skin also made the next level of improvements when I started oil cleansing and doing weekly brightening masks and/or peels.
These two are both effective, but I like the peel a little better.

I switched to a new serum because they discontinued the Boots with new packaging. I was crushed as it was gone for a few months. Now I am using - It's the Buff.

It has been working well over the past 2 or 3 months. And fits in nicely since I am using a lightweight sunscreen and my skin is dry. As I meantioned, the oil cleansing (and my new 7 step routine really improved my skin) but try a serum, sun screen and maybe a peel first for a few weeks. My skin looked good with just that.
