HaHa - I have that and it is much more pronounced on the left foot while it is barely noticeable on the right foot. However I have narrow, smallish feet and I have been asked by more than one person if I am a foot model so I guess it's not "ugly".
I guess the only thing I might find strange besides my newly recognized "Morton's toe" is these little red, raised bumps I have been getting as I age. They're called cherry something or other and I'm not caring for them at all. Ditto for the small white blotches on the backs of my hands.
My feet are ridiculous. They have stupid high arches. If that were all, I'd be happy about having dancer's feet. However, they are also wide, AND I have Morton's toe. So, I really have ogre feet. They never look dainty in sandals and heels. Plus, most of the women in my bloodline wear a size 6. I'm a 7.5 at 5'3".
The Morton's toe thing...that's the worst. Fugly as hell. But the old wive's tales about it are amusing to contemplate. I always hear that it signifies intelligence or a dominant personality, or according to my nana, it signifies that I am destined to marry a man shorter than me (which is too bad considering I'm 5'3").
Hmm, well pretty much all of the women on my mom's side have Morton's toe! My mom said my feet have chopped off toes. I have the opposite - my big toe is huge! It is almost an inch larger than the other toes. If my big toe wasn't so big, I'd probably wear a size 6 shoe! But I wear 7-7.5. I am 5'4." That feels like a normal size to me! I don't know why you think your feet are huge!
Hammer toes. I had surgery on one side with the effect that they are straight but numb, cannot curl them at all.
So would you recommend the surgery then? Any other side effects (e.g. running, balance)?
I have hammer toes also - ugh - they are ugly. I once broke my foot and the surgeon told me he could also "fix" my hammer toes. I was apprehensive as it would purely be cosmetic surgery - I am in no pain from them - and I can hide them in the right shoes.
They are also very functional. I can do many things with my toes - pick up items from the floor, write my name, and other party tricks - lol. I also have incredibly good balance (due to my long flexible toes?). For example, I have a slack line/tight rope I am pretty good at. I think the long, ugly toes help!
So, the strangest looking thing on my body are my hammer toes.
