I must clarify, I'm pretty sure a guy feels another guy is becoming more beautiful with long hair when they get that fear that looking at their hair approvingly means they are becoming gay. They probably wouldn't have that feeling it they thought it looked bad?

I wish my high school principal (late '60s) had thought that way LOL.

I can understand the feeling, I think. Like maybe they don't look perfect, but close enough, in their minds and the minds of those who encourage them.

So that's what my boy did. :-)

I'm an old lady who grew up in the times when every young man looked like he was in Led Zeppelin. I must say that I could never get interested in a dude who did not have at least a longish hair (it caused some problems for my late great old boy who was an airline pilot - luckily, an European airline that was a bit more tolerant of Keith Richards hairdo under the captain's hat :-). So, long hair to me is the only hair that looks attractive on a guy (or braids, for a Black guy). Just my geriatric 5 cents' worth of opinion :-).

Disagree. Although I thought his hair looked better as he got older, it was longer at times and looked quite good that way.

I put that more on "he learned how to style it properly as he got older" though.

He also looked quite good with short hair. But, he was really pretty, so hardly surprising.

It's bad when, regardless of age, the ponytail looks all greasy and like it's never been taken out...and pulled super tight.

Some do hair care tips or admit they do nothing special.

Some of the guys joke they fear they are turning gay when they see another man become more beautiful when they grow their hair long. Personally I doubt they really want sex with them, but might want some like-minded friends to hang out with. Do any of you think it's good (long hair freedom), bad, or don't care?
I see long and/or thick hair as sign of good health, compared to what I see on top of most people's heads since 2000. When I look at circa 1970s family photos posted on line, I see healthy people.
