I don't like the nasolabial folds I have and want to avoid cosmetic enhancements. Anyone ever tried facial exercises? Does it work or not? If we can exercise our bodies younger, perhaps we can exercise our face as well? The ones I've read who have tried it swears by it, and of course, the cosmetic industry laughs at the idea.
I ran across this lady's YouTube videos one day and was amazed at how young her skin looked for her age; I believe she's in her 50's. She owns this website - https://faceyogamethod.com/beforeafters/
I seriously doubt "face yoga" does anything. And yes, I have heard some of those exercises MIGHT even make things worse. Something like the nasolabial folds tend to be genetic anyway. I have them and have always had them, my mother had them even more pronounced than I do. They really aren't much worse for me now at 67 than they were at 27. It is just my face structure. And people who try to use "filler" just look distorted.
Jaw exercises definitely can build the masseters, which in turn give the lower face more definition. They probably can damage TMJ joints if done improperly, too. Physical therapists sometimes prescribe such exercises (after jaw surgery, for example); in other words, they are legit.
I think the facial expression can work in specific age only. It won't be working after 40 or 50.
