Hanes has a line called ComfortFlex fit wireless bras that I absolutely love! They are wire free and soft, sooo affordable and hold up very well to lots of washing and wear. I like the full coverage sports bra styles best from the line. They are smooth and flattering under tshirts and other tops.
Amazon carries these Hanes ComfortFlex bras as well. I have a similar looking leisure type bra for home. I'm a larger cup and they wouldn't give me any support at all. You lucky gals with smaller sizes can get away with it. LOL. The comfy ones are Bali Smart Sizes that I bought when I was a smaller cup for indoor use. Haven't tried them on in a long time (since weight gain and cup size change).
I'm not the same size across brands. I already know this. I have picked one brand for everyday bras and about three brands for specialty bras. Fitting is a good idea, but I think you should also fit again for different brands.
I needed a push up bra back when I was a C cup and bought a Calvin Klein in the size I wore. Didn't work.
Every woman should know the size she normally wears for regular bras.
Pick an extra size by working with a "sister size" if possible
Know your size for specialty brands and sister sizes for them as well.
So where do you go to get fitted? What would be a good place to find the right size, and bras that offer the right support?
I don't mind paying for the right product, but I buy from macys, kohls and walmart, and honestly don't find much to differentiate between them!
Go to an upscale lingerie store for a proper sizing. Rigby and Peller, if there are any in your area, is a good place to start. Also, although I've never been in any of their stores, Soma, I hear, is a good place to go.
Sometimes places like Macy's or Kohl's will have a fitter come in on a certain day. I find that those fitters don't know how to size properly. Years ago, one told me that I was a 48 D, so that's what I would look for when I shopped. Then, I went to Intimacy (which is now Rigby and Peller) and was told that I was a 42 G. So...I was glad that I splurged and bought a few of their bras---best fit I ever had in my life!
Before I went to Rigby and Peller, I was going to Walmart for my bras and always bought 48 D. The bras they had at Walmart never gave me good support.
I'm looking for something reasonably priced under $20.00 for a bra. Even that I think is too expensive for a small piece of fabric. I rarely spend that much on a shirt. Bali and Maidenform seems to fit me best. I usually wear 34C. Sport bras are fine if the straps are narrow
Kohl's is currently having their 'intimates' sale now through August 21st and you can probably pick up your 2 brands for just under $30. Shop online and see if they have what you're looking for.
Wal-Mart bras are never a good buy if you are over a C cup. I don't know where you live but if Dillard's is in your area, hit up their semi-annual bra sales in June and December. You can get high-quality, normally expensive bras for that price on clearance there. I am a G cup and regular stores don't carry my size. Not even Victoria's Secret. Larger bras are also more expensive. Dillard's has been a life saver for me in the bra department in both finding bras in my size and on sale. I hate that Dillard's isn't where I live now.

Dillard's and Intimacy are great at sizing and helping find the right bra.
