I was recommended by a few friends to buy the cheap Chinese shirts on eBay, as I'm pretty freaking small in frame, and I'm going with it. So if a mens small is a bit too big for me, and those shirts are generally made smaller than American clothes, what size should I go with?

And trust me, I'm done growing. Been the same height for 8yrs and I my weights been mildly shifting for the same time, usually between 120 and 135. So I'm pretty much done growing and know I might as well bulk buy cheap shirts than spend more to tailor every shirt I own.

When I was thinner (101 lbs), I bought a dress from China on Ebay and went with a size small since I wore an XS in the US and had been told that I should go up a size since in China the sizes would be smaller.

When I got the dress, I went to put it on and I couldn't pull it up over about midway on my thighs. Now keep in mind that this was when I was thin enough to count ribs...

I ended up having to buy a LARGE in the dress.

Who only knows what size that I would take now at 135 lbs, LOL. Probably a 3XL?

I would probably go up a couple of sizes to be safe and at first just order one piece of clothing so that you aren't out a lot of money if it does not fit.

Also see if you can get the measurements of the shirt before you buy it to get a better idea if it will fit you.

Definitely bigger than you think and a lot of sites selling from China now give sizing info, so look for it on the page.

Look at the size charts. Each one is different.

Chinese clothing is notoriously small and poorly made. You are lucky if the item you receive (if you even receive it) will look like what you ordered. LOTS of dissatisfied customers - hence Knockoff Nightmares facebook page. Buy at your own risk.

Yes, LOOK at the size chart! And if in doubt, order UP.

I am a size 8/10 in tops, and even an Asian Large is (just slightly) too small for me!

Do you really need to look for Asian sizing to get the right look? I know that Ralph Lauren and Brooks Brothers offer slim cuts in their shirts, so you might be fine with a slim cut from those brands. Calvin Klein and J. Crew also have slim cuts. I might look at that more than some of the eBay clothing that, as mentioned above, can have serious quality issues.

Some of the pictures are even stolen right from other retailers, since I recall seeing a leather jacket that's from a reputable company, like Schott or Vanson, used as an example of the jacket, but in no way would you be getting anywhere near that quality. Amazon also has some knockoffs, but the quality also looks suspect. I was looking at a shirt for a costume and would have needed an XL or 2XL when I wear a regular medium shirt, per the size chart. I was able to get it on, but couldn't wear it to the party because when I got into the car, the entire back of the shirt ripped as if it was a tear-away shirt made for The Hulk films. Never did get a refund, either, but it was about $10, so I didn't go crazy, just left negative feedback, but the same companies operate under different accounts.

What I find odd is that the high-end designer brands such as Ralph Lauren, as well as cheap Asian clothes run small, while mid-priced brands such as IZOD and Nautica run true to size or even a bit large. For clothing that runs smaller, you either have to go low-end or high-end, with nothing in the mid-range that offers good quality for a reasonable price. IZOD does offer some of its most popular products in slim fit, but selection is very limited and generally you will only find such products online and will generally be only available in the core non-seasonal colors.

I bought a small shirt that was made in China. I normally wear an extra small but went one size up on recommendation.
The shirt arrived and wasn't even close to fitting me. Guess who it fit? An eight year old girl who is the daughter of my friend!

I recommend no clothing from china..

I found that the sizes are all over the map,the material is cheap and thin, and the crap falls apart even at the seams.. save your money for quality.
