What is proper to wear to jury duty? I've been retired for years and no longer have business wear.

Could I wear white denim capri length pants which extend about 6" below the knee with semi-dressy leather sandals (not flip flops)? Or is that too casual? My summer skirts are either denim or tie dyed. Too casual? I have no idea what I'm going to wear!

I really hate to buy anything new that I won't wear again but don't want to appear disrespectful to the court either.

If you dont want to get picked I would sugget wearing something wacky lol. That might get you sent home faster ! I have never been selected and I am so thankful for that.

People have no guidelines for propriety anymore. I've been to funerals with outfits that would curl your hair, graduations where they looked like they just hopped off the lawnmower, so I suggest that you wear something that you would wear to church....unless you are Catholic, in which case you need to ask someone else. Cover up yourself.
