Haven't heard of Oligold, I go for Proactive.
Have you tried to put ice on active acne? That works well for me.

Proactive is basically an addiction cream. There is no way to stop using it and the acme comes back with avenges afterwards. That is what I was told. The best way to get rid of acne is not input anything into your body that triggers it. Unless there is something your body is doing

For me being behind a hot computer screen with a steamy surroundings pushing me to sweat in a cool dark environment in one spot is what causes mine.

Otherwise if it is that bad then I suggest laser or plastic surgery. For me I have been popping them as soon as they arrive but I have also had various methods of cleaning my face. From finishing with ice to applying Aloe.

I have seen my siblings who have left the bump or have acme over acme. They have to use bebe cream series as well.

I found that occasional doses of ibuprofen works. I had a injury that required prescription strength, really was just 3-4 regular otc tablets 2-3 times a day for 3weeks. I saw a reduction in my acne, inflammation. I googled it and found that others too have seen reduced inflammation from ibuprofen. But like with everything you don't want to take long term all the time. It can be bad for, either kidneys or liver.

Proactive never did anything for me.

I use this over-the-counter product. It's awesome.

Are you looking for spot treatment? Mario Badescu's spot treatment is the BEST.

Outside of that, it's usually hormones and finding the right "potions" that work for you. Try your derm, if you aren't sure. You can also go to Sephora and try different samples--they will make them up free, for you.

I've seen Mario Badescu's spot treatment. It's the same thing as calamine lotion, which actually works well for acne spot treatment, a lot cheaper too.

The ingredients are pretty much the same thing. They probably use calamine lotion recipe and add a drop of some herbal product.

I actually tested this. While it is very close to the same thing, whatever Mario Badescu adds makes a HUGE difference. Calamine does not clear up my spots, as quickly.

There are basically two ingredients in OTC topical acne medications: salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. Old treatments such as Clearasil used sulfur. The differences tend to be the concentrations and methods of application.

If you're not getting relief from OTC products, see a dermatologist. There are lots of treatments out there.
