A jacket without sleeves

Can you wear it everyday like a jacket or is it suppose to be apart of an outfit?

I'm talking about this type of vest

Yay or nay?

Women around here wear those ALL the time, but our winters are usually pretty mild. Like any jacket, it can definitely make an outfit. The most common way I see it worn is with a long-sleeve wicking shirt underneath and leggings or yoga pants.

IMHO, when you wear it with jeans it becomes more like a jacket.

I wear a vest like that under my winter coat for extra warmth.

To the person who left me a rep saying it's "Yea not yay" I'm saying it how it sounds Moderator cut: inappropriate. Thank you.

I see that a lot as a jacket as well. Sometimes it seems to be "part of an outfit," but it's taken off when indoors, so it seems like outerwear.

Personally I would wear it the way I want to wear it however, I dress myself for my comfort and do not follow some silly *rules* spewed by the alleged *experts* of fashion.

Yea. (It really is "yea" (yes) - which is the opposite of no - and not "yay," (hooray), which is the opposite of "boo." The two words are pronounced the same, but have different meanings. I don't want to sound like the Grammar Police, but this very common error is to me like fingernails on a blackboard. And no, I'm not the person who left the rep comment. I wouldn't have said anything had the OP not mentioned it.

I like vests, especially the way they can add a pop of color. They're also good for camouflaging figure flaws like a big waist or wide hips, and they're ideal on days when it's a little too cool to go out in shirtsleeves but not cold enough for a jacket.

I consider the garment in the photo as outerwear. I would not wear it all day inside unless the building has little or no heat.
