It depends on the guy...as well as the woman. Personal preference.

Clean.

If I'm interviewing you, boy, you'd better have taken a razor to your face and a brush to your hair (never a man bun, neatly done and no longer than shoulder-length, please) that morning or don't expect to get a call-back for the job. Experience and attitude aren't everything, especially if you're going to be dealing directly with customers. There's enough innercity-wannabe-lumberjack-hick-just-rolled-out-of-bed-from-a-bender-and-came-in-to-work trash in Portland already where full-beards are a sign of political loyalty to the state, anyways. Well, this isn't Portland. No customer should have to look at that. You want to work on this side of the river, you need to hold yourself to a higher standard, starting with your appearance.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I love the scruff look on many men. Not all men would look good with it, but many men certainly do.

Some men look good with a bit more facial hair than just scruff (look good with more of a short beard or partial beard) - but I do like the scruff look.

It might be age-dependent too for some men. Not sure about the age parameter.

I love hairy guys. Scruffy. Mustache/goatee/and or beard even better.

Default Do You Find Beards Attractive?

This question is for women and for guys who are attracted to men, although I know like everything on CD, it might become a free-for-all. A good friend of mine got divorced after a brief marriage and is looking to date again. She noticed beards are back in style. She's not a fan of beards and discovered because of this, the dating pool is rather limited at the moment. Of course beards have been around for thousands of years and come and go more at certain times than others although here in Texas, they seem to be less popular than in the Northern climes, where they serve the practical purpose of keeping a man's face warm.

Ever the scientific type, I wanted to examine the data. Although I didn't find specific statistics on it, I did look up women's opinions and found a couple of interesting articles. Just like guys, we have opinions on what we like in a man and just like guys, we have lots of conflicting opinions on what we find attractive. In terms of dating and attractiveness only, we prefer light stubble or clean shaven. In terms of long term relationships, we prefer a well groomed beard as a sign of maturity and loyalty. The scraggly, unkempt beard is least preferred because of hygiene concerns and general ill groomed appearance.

Do you like beards? Do you find them attractive or sexy? If you like them, what kind of beard do you prefer? If you are a man who wears one, what do you like about it?

Love them!

I prefer a light stubble/shadow on my man. Well-kept light beards are attractive as well.

I don't mind beards ... anything from stubble to full beards ... but they MUST be well maintained. Nothing bushy and overgrown. I find too many men grow a beard as an excuse to get out of shaving.

I think 'close' beards can be super sexy.

I'm not a fan of lumberjack or biker beards.
